Energy (Skt. शक्ति, Shakti) is the capacity to do work or produce change.

On the path of knowledge, energy is understood as:

• A concept derived from experience of change

• Not a fundamental substance

• A pattern of vibrations in memory

• Part of the illusion

The concept of energy is useful for navigating experience but does not describe the ultimate reality.
