The
Essence of Experience is the fundamental nature of all appearances that arise in
existence. On the
path of knowledge, the direct analysis of
experience reveals that its true essence is identical to the
experiencer.
Memory and Vibrations
- The Experience of Memory: All experiences whether of the physical world or the internal mind are processed and stored as memory patterns. We do not experience external objects directly; we only experience organized memory patterns.
- Vibration and Change: At its core, memory is composed of non-physical, non-mental vibrations (Naad). The essence of all experience is a dance of change, occurring in the form of simplest binary state-changes.
- Irreducible Qualities: The mind formats these vibrations into atomic, irreducible qualities (such as colors, shapes, and tones) to translate the raw information into a meaningful experience for survival.
Non-Duality of Experience
- Emptiness: The ultimate essence of both the Experience and the Experiencer is emptiness. Experiences are merely temporary, dependent modulations arising within the Experiencer, like waves on water.
- Experiencing is Oneness: When the concept-creating mind is quieted, the dualistic division between the seen (experience) and the seer (experiencer) vanishes. All that remains is pure experiencing the non-dual Presence in which the experience and the experiencer are one.
