Ethics

Ethics (Skt. नीति, Niti) are principles of right conduct and moral behavior.

On the path of knowledge, ethics is understood differently than in conventional philosophy:
  • Ethics is relative - it depends on context and perspective
  • There are no absolute moral rules
  • The only guiding principle is knowledge itself
  • Right action flows naturally from understanding
  • Morality is a social construct, not an absolute truth
The seeker on the path of knowledge does not follow ethical rules out of duty or fear, but acts from the understanding of oneness and nonduality. Ethical behavior emerges naturally when one recognizes that the same experiencer appears in all beings.
