God (Skt. ईश्वर, Ishvara) is a concept of a supreme being or ultimate reality in various religious traditions.

On the path of knowledge, God is:

• A concept based on belief, not direct experience

• Not a necessary hypothesis for understanding existence

• Often a projection of human qualities onto reality

• Distinguished from existence itself, which is impersonal

The path of knowledge does not require belief in God. It seeks direct understanding of existence through valid means of knowledge.
