Nyaya

Nyaya is one of the six orthodox schools of Indian philosophy (Skt. न्याय), focusing on logic and epistemology.

Nyaya is significant on the path of knowledge because:
  • It provides a rigorous system of logic
  • It develops a sophisticated theory of evidence
  • It analyzes logical fallacies and invalid reasoning
The path of knowledge draws from Nyaya's logical framework but accepts only direct experience and logic as valid means, rejecting the others upon refutation of evidence.
