On the path of knowledge, sufficient is used in the context of valid means of knowledge:

• Valid means are sufficient - nothing more is needed to establish knowledge

• Invalid means are insufficient - more evidence is always required

The sufficiency of valid means is what distinguishes knowledge from belief.
