The Unmanifested (Skt. अव्यक्त, Avyakta) is that which has not yet appeared in experience.

On the path of knowledge, the unmanifested is:

• Existence before it appears as any particular experience

• The infinite potential from which all experiences arise

• Not separate from the manifested - they are one

• The source and destination of all patterns

The unmanifested is not a different place or state - it is the unseen aspect of what is right here.
