Verification is the process of establishing the truth or correctness of something.

On the path of knowledge, verification is:

• Essential for distinguishing knowledge from belief

• Done through direct experience and logic

• Personal - each seeker must verify for themselves

• The opposite of blind belief

Claims on the path of knowledge are not to be accepted on authority but to be verified through one's own experience and reasoning.
