Here I am suggesting some daily practices that I do on daily basis to keep my mind and body healthy and calm. ****It is utmost important that you keep your outer self harmonious as much as you can. learn to take care of your body and mind. ****waking up with sun :- wake up with sunrise or you can wake up before it rises too completely depends on you but make sure you are not waking up very late, follow the nature's cycle,so your circadian rhythm is regulated. ****Daily movement :- make sure you provide movement to your body daily.it can be in any form like taking long walks,runing ,swimming, jump rope and( some intense cardio here and there)any exercise you enjoy doing or you can join gym. I personally go to gym,because I can strength train there. when I go to gym in morning I see very positive benefits on my mind and body whole day, I feel much calmer and happy through the day(excercise has huge impact on mental health) If you exercise properly consistently ,you will see that you will be more comfortable with yourself and stress will be away from you, there are so many benefits it provides. your life quality will improve if you add this habit in your lifestyle. **It is very important that you DO NOT over exercise and take active rest day in between to recover properly. ****Add adaptogens in your daily routine :- you can drink holy basil tea or you can try any other adaptogen ,there are many out there, try and see what you like best. ****Grounding daily :- place your bare feet on earth or walk bare foot on grass for at least 15-30 min. I have a grounding mat because I don't like when my feet gets dirty and on the other hand it is very convenient too. ****live life in awareness:- you must live in awareness as much as you can, develop witness self,so you don't identify yourself with your emotions and thoughts and other bodily and mental phenomenon. if you are not living in awareness your thought will take you anywhere they want and your emotions will make you do anything they want, bascially you are nothing more than a slave of thoughts and emotions. your thought and emotions will determine your happiness or unhappiness,i won't go in detail but it is very important to live in awareness and develop discrimination. **read everyday :- it can be anything ,an article about well being or any article that provides valuable information, a page from some fantasy book,self help book or anything that interests you. I wouldn't recommend reading newspaper and any other stuff that exposes you to some kind of negativity your reading time should be happy,about learning something new or fun,not exposing yourself to some unnecessary junk that has no value in your life. ****Nutritious meals daily :- Your meals should be nutritious. Do not starve yourself or overeat, keep it balanced. you don't have to be extreme just keep your diet clean 80 - 90% times. ****Spending quality time with loved ones(people you love being around) :- This can make your life more joyful. ****Sense control :- you might have read this term in some spiritual book or maybe heard it somewhere if you are into spirituality. I was always attracted to spirituality since childhood and what I used to think that time about sense control fasting,living a boring life, wearing orange clothes and living in woods, I used to think these people have no joy in life , I cannot imagine living like this ,although spirituality used to interest me so much but this way of living always repulsed me but as I grew older I came to know that no, you don't have to live like that (these are all just my thoughts, I am not saying it is absolute truth this how I interpret it, people might have different opinions which is completely okay). How I interpret this term sense control now? what sense control means according to me:- **your eyes can see anything, they are an organ of vision but you can control what they see(you can choose wisely what to watch with these eyes or what to not) **your vocal cords are there to speak but you can decide what to speak or what to not(Do not speak unkind words to other) **you can taste with this tongue that you have been given but you can control what to eat or what to not. it goes same with other senses too. ****your mind is very impressionable so be very wise that what you expose yourself to and indulge in. this is how I interpret sense control now. According to me these simple habits are foundation of healthy body and mind.
