# Laws of Memory : Part 12 Welcome to Pure Experiences. You are listening to the series on Laws of Memory. Today, we are going to discuss the Law of Interconnectedness. ## 9 - Law of Interconnectedness It is clear from the name. It means everything in existence is interconnected. It does not mean that there are things and then there are some kind of connections between them. You should not picture it as many objects and being connected by ropes, cables, wires, or invisible energy of some kind. It does not mean like that. It simply means do not think about objects, things, events, yourself as separate from each other. Do not imagine that these things are there, there is some kind of distance between themconceptual, spatial, temporaland then something comes and connects them. No, that is the wrong imagination. So, how to picture this? And the problem is we cannot. That kind of imagination will be almost impossible. Can I picture everything as happening at once, on top of each other? No, do not do that. That is impossible. We can get a negative evidence. Whenever we try to find some kind of separation, isolation, any kind of wall or break in our experience of anything will fail. That cannot be proven. And so, only negative evidence is possible. But the name is very beautiful: Interconnectedness. It actually means everything is one. So, you can call it the Law of Oneness. But oneness is not a law which is governing something else. The existence itself is oneness. You are that. This law says that there is non-isolation. You cannot isolate one thing from another, one event from another, one phenomenon from another, one person from another, one thought or emotion from another. And secondly, you cannot find a boundary between anything you can encounter. The experiences do not occur separately with definite boundaries between them. You will never find this kind of evidence of a boundary. But there can be illusion of boundaries; there can be illusion of separatedness. And that's what we are going to talk about in this part. And it also means that there are no breaks. The experience is not broken into parts. Universal memory does not have separate parts with breaks or boundaries between them. That's not possible. But yes, whenever it is needed, some kind of separation appears. That separation is not real. It can be overpowered, or you can rise above that separation very easily, because it is an illusion. Since everything can appear, separation can also appear. But there is no true separation. A little bit of investigation shows that. So, we'll try to find some examples. That is necessary because when you take a look at your experience, all you find is only separation. You will struggle to find the interconnectedness, and you will probably try to imagine some kind of connecting medium, and that is a problem, because there is nothing like that. So, many listeners must have already recalled the Law of Codependency, which also says that nothing exists separately. One thing is dependent on other for its existence: codependency. That already implies some kind of connection, some kind of non-isolation. So, interconnectedness is similar to codependency. There can be some minor differences in explanation and interpretation, that's all. And the interconnectedness also explains many more laws, like the Law of Action and Consequence. ## Separation You will need to go deeper to see why there is interconnectedness. First thing, you need to define the separation, this word "separation." How do you define it? So, let us try. You can take one experience to define separation among two experiences. That already sounds very absurd. How can you separate experiences using another experience? It is like separating two parts of the water using more water. It is like that, yes. That's why there is no separation, but we try. So, let us take the experience of distance or space. One experience or object can be separated from another using the experience of distance. You can already see that that separation is mental, mind-created, because the distance between two objects actually connects them. If they are completely separate, you won't be able to measure the distance. Anyway, you can take another experience of time and try to separate one event from another. This event happened yesterday; that event happened today. These are separate events now. But you will see that one event is changing and another event is appearing. It is all one continuous experience. So, what else can cause separation? Ignorance. Something happened, some event happened, then there was a period of ignorance, another event happened. I did not come to know what was in between, and that produces a separation. A very good example of separation by ignorance is sleep, the state of sleep, deep sleep. We separate the last day from today using ignorance of sleep, because we don't know what happened in between. That causes a separation between the two experiences of waking. Another example of ignorance and its separation is forgetting, which itself is an experienceexperience of forgetting. That's what happened in between. So, you can see that it does not matter what kind of parameter we use for separation. The parameter is arbitrary and actually contributes to the continuation of experience instead of separating it. So, what can be the cause of separation? It is your homework. Can we find something which is not in our experience, which is beyond experience, to separate two experiences? The answer is mostly no. Okay, that should give you a lot of evidence if you think about it. I tried to find separation, I failed; this is a negative evidence. So, we'll try to get more evidence. ## Oneness of Existence Let us go into existence itself. There is only one existence. Existence means everything. How many everythings can be there? Wrong question. There is only one everything. It is one. However, it is never found as one thing. Existence is not an experience that happens only one or it is present here. Look at the existence; there is only one of it, rare species. No, it is not like that. So, it always appears many. So, we don't call it oneness; we call it nonduality. So, non-multiplicity if you want to generalize. There cannot be many essences of the existence. Essence means the foundation, that of which the existence is made up of. There can be only one essence that should be unchanging, and that is only one. So, everything that appears in it, does not matter how many things appear here, essentially it is one, non-separated. Still, we can create two basic, fundamental divisions in the existence. The one is the experiencer, which is the essence, which is the witness of all experience, witnessing ability of existence. And the other division is the experience, which is whatever is appearing in it: objects, events, bodies, people, minds, mental events, non-physical, metaphysical, whatever you want to call it. Everything comes under experience. These are the fundamental divisions: experience and the experiencer. The experience cannot become the experiencer; picture cannot become the screen. And the experiencer never becomes the experience; the screen remains the screen, it does not turn into a picture. Still, you cannot separate the screen from the picture. Same way, you cannot separate the experiencer from the experience. You will never find a separation. That is the trick we use to prove nonduality or oneness. We go and try to find a separation of any kind, and we cannot. But we cannot say "one", because we do not find "one" also. So, we end up saying "not two", no division, not dual, nondual. So, those who want to do this exercise, they want to find the unity of experience and experiencer, they should watch the Drig-Drishya series on my channel. See, only the first video is important in that series, which gives you the basic knowledge, essential knowledge. There it is shown very clearly that there is no division between the experience and experiencer, although one cannot be converted into other, one cannot become the other. Just like two sides of a coin: one side cannot become the other side because it is one. One side cannot disappear and get converted into other side. Still, they are one. It is one coin with two faces. Similarly, it is one existence with two aspects. Aspectsthe word simply means viewpoint. Aspect, how you view it, causes separation. "Me" and "not-me"remember this thing. When I am me, it is a state of the existence. When I'm not-me, it is another state. That gives rise to this binary state, virtual superimposed binary state with which we started. But they are one. So, this division is imaginary. So, how many experiences are there? And there is only one experience. It is a continuous, changing stream, dynamic presence. That's all there is. So, even though it is an illusion, it is one illusion. There are no many illusions: illusion number one here, illusion number two here. No, you will never find an evidence of that. Even inside the illusion, it is all one. For example, pictures appearing on a screen. You can find one picture on the left side and another picture on the right side. That is apparent division. These all pictures are on one screen. If you try to take them apart, no, not possible. So, it is like apparent division, like your glove, woolen glove. You can put your hand in it, and suddenly there are five different fingers. If you ignore your hand, if you paint faces on all those fingers, it will look like five people. One is very tall; one is very short. You can give them personalities, make them puppets, do the dance of life of these puppets. But it is one glove. One is appearing many. One is appearing as five fingers, one hand. It's all connected. That is the meaning of interconnection. That apparent division has a hidden, common substance, level, foundation. What is that? That is existence itself. Or you can say that is the experiencer itself, because existence is essentially the experiencer. So, if you ignore the hand, yes, the five fingers will appear different. If the illusion is made sufficiently complicated by painting the fingers with faces and smiles on their faces, making it sophisticated, any person of immature intellect will be fooled into thinking that there are five living entities here with their own lives. They're talking, walking, and like children, very little babies, they are amused by this. They think these puppets have lives. So, human beings are just like babies. They don't know anything, very innocent. And whatever appears here in this one existence, in this one illusion, human beings think it is all separate, isolated, simply because they don't know. There is no knowledge of oneness; there is no knowledge of interconnectedness in an average person. ## Formation of Virtual Boundaries Interconnectedness can be explained through our model of the illusion, model of the vibrating patterns in a non-physical, non-mental memory. Because it is non-physical, non-mental, you cannot even imagine anything that can divide it, because the divisions will always be physical, mental, whatever. I gave you the examples. You cannot paint a boundary there, because there's nothing to bound, nothing to divide. So, infinite patterns of vibrations superimposed on each other, nothing separates them. However, virtual boundaries appear, and mostly the nature of these boundaries or breaks is of the kind of a separation which we already defined: it is of ignorance. We don't know that what is there beyond this experience. That causes a kind of boundary, a kind of wall, infinite wall. We cannot see beyond that wall, a curtain. So, let us take very simple examples of one wall dividing a room into two. Immediately, we'll say that there is a division between one part of the room and the other part. If you look closely, trace one room to the other room, you will go through the wall. You will find that the wall is a continuation of the room. Air changes into cement, bricks, then bricks change into air again, if by room we mean air only. So, there is no separation, only change of experience. The experience of room changes into experience of wall, and the experience of wall then again becomes experience of room. There is no separation. Why does it look like we have two rooms? Because of ignorance. We cannot see beyond the wall. So, our intellect forms a knowledge, knowledge structure in the mind: here is this room, then there is ignorance, we don't know, then we go to other room, here is another room. For the time being, we forget about the first room, and when we remember both rooms, we remember them with this wall between them. You can translate it into vibrating patterns. The vibrating pattern of the room or air changes into vibrating pattern of the wall, then changes into vibrating pattern of air in the second room. So, throughout, there are just vibrating patterns which are virtual, not real. There's nothing actual that is present there. It is an illusion: the wall, the room, everything is an illusion. And so, whatever the boundaries that appeared there is an illusion. And the knowledge in the mind provides an illusion of separation. And it is practical; sometimes it is useful to have different rooms and doors between them. So, let us take two objects in one room, and what separates them is a boundary. This object starts here, ends there, and there is a gap, air between them. And there is another object which starts somewhere place and then it ends. It is very convincing. Anybody will say there are two objects, they are separate objects. Look, I'm shaking and moving one object, but nothing happens to the other object. It is not connected. Your Law of Interconnectedness is wrong here; it is broken. So, how to see that all objects are interconnected? You must examine the illusion of space or distance before you can say anything. The kind of separation that is defined here is of distance or space. You can imagine these two objects in space beyond Earth where there is not even air that can connect them. So, what do we see? The direct experience shows that there are two objects, there is a wall behind the object or there is floor below the objects, that's all. Let us say one object is red, the other object is blue, and the floor is white. So, when you look at one object, the red color then changes into white, and then white changes into blue, that's all. That's all we see. We do not see objects, we do not see space or distance, nothing. This is the direct experience which is devoid of superimposition of knowledge or ignorance. Then a model is formed in the mind that this thing, the red thing, is different; the blue thing is different; and whatever is between them is a third thing which is different. Our sense of vision trisects one experience into three. Remember, it is just one experience. The experience itself has no boundaries, no breaks. Here there is no ignorance also. We know exactly what is happening, but we do not see anything called space or distance. Somebody will say, "No, I see the distance. Look, from here to here," they will point the fingers. That is another experience, that's all. You can put those objects in air or space and same thing happens. If there is nothing behind them, there will be blackness, completely black. So, the red will change into black and the black will change into blue. Does not matter. It is an experience of irreducibles. It is never that the red starts here and stops there and there is nothing at all, and then the blue starts. No, it will never happen. There is always something to look between the two. That is what we call space or distance. Space is a negative concept which says that there is nothing here which is worth talking about, which is important, that's all. This concept is same. It is negating. Space is a negation: there is no object here. That's what the mind is saying. And so, these two objects are separate. But there is always an experience there. Even though there is no object as usual, there is no connecting rod between the two, but there is always an experience between them. They are conceptually separated, not actually. So, what happens at the level of vibrating patterns? These patterns are two objects, non-physical, non-mental, emitted by senses. One pattern changes into another and then the other pattern changes into the third. So, if you take the example of the white floor, the pattern changes from one object, let us say a ball, to floor, and then to another ball. So, can we say that these balls are connected by the floor? What if they are in the air? Are they connected by air? What if they are in empty space? How are they connected? So, that is why it is necessary to see that space itself is a concept. There is no empty space. So, using our concept, imagination of memory locations, you can say that the red ball is in one memory location, blue ball is in another memory location, and in between there are patterns that are irregular, or they change so fast, they're not stable, that they are not registered by the senses. Eyes will say there is nothing here. But it is one memory. The memory locations are not rooms, they're not boxes, they are conceptual. So, that which the sense of vision is not able to grasp is called a space. But we do not see that. We see that which is behind the space. The senses provide something which they can grasp, and whatever they cannot appears as blank space. At the level of memory, there is no patterns corresponding to the space. There's nothing like that. We cannot say that, "Look, this pattern in the memory represents space." No, it's not. There are always some or the other kinds of patterns, that which are stable, they stay for a while, they are grasped, detected by the senses; the rest is ignored. For sound, it will appear as a silence. For vision, it will appear as blackness, space. "I don't see anything," anybody will say. Therefore, it is separated. So, are these ball connected by something? And that is also wrong. There is nothing there that connects them, only that they are not separated. They do not exist in space. There are no balls. Or there is another explanation of distance: it is simply arrangement of sensory data in memory that gives rise to an illusion of position, distance, and space. The data that is collected itself has no boundaries, no discontinuity, nothing. The stream of data or vibrations that is coming in through the senses, they are always continuous. Then the mind creates all these representations of what is happening. And one of the representation is distance or space. For sound, it is silence. Space does not mean that there is nothing; it simply means it is another experience, that's all. Silence does not mean that there is nothing; it is another experience. It is not that which was present before, that's what the mind is saying, intellect is saying. Let us say we hear two sounds: one sound and then a silence, then another sound. So, the mind says in between there was a silence, a separation, a gap. But that was an experience where the first sound or the second sound was not there, that's all. So, that's why I said it is not possible to understand interconnectedness by imagining some kind of connecting rod, connecting link between the events or experiences. No, you can understand interconnectedness only by discarding the notion of separation. So, why is there nothing between two objects? There is an experience which says it is not the first object and it is not the second object, that's all it is saying. Then it is interpreted as disconnection or the one object stops, other starts. Interconnectedness also does not mean that if you move the one object, the other will move, other will be affected in some way. No, that is not necessary. There is no causal connection. It is not necessary. While the first object is moving, shaking, or getting destroyed, you will not find the other object disconnected from it. It will all appear as one experience. So, mostly the objects are impermanent, like we saw in the example of sound. The first sound is already gone, then there is silence, then there is second sound. They're gone, but there was never a separation between the two events. They were connected by silence. Poetically, you can say that silence is simply another event, another experience. It is negative in the sense that it is not first event, it is not second event. So, even if they are impermanent, they are still connected. They are still not separate. So, the vibrating patterns do not have a boundary, because there is no space or time or anything in the memory. Still, these boundaries can appear. We saw some examples, and they're very convincing. It is very difficult to show that there is no separation. Once you know that all these experiences, all these illusions are mind-created, the separation is only in your mind as a concept, as a knowledge, or you can call it ignorance if you want, as a data structure, name and form, only then you will understand that everything is one, everything is interconnected. ## Fields Everything is one, everything is interconnected. Still, boundaries can appear. Distances, times, ignorance, and states of the mind, they all provide virtual boundaries. These boundaries get created so that we can make sense of something. If we do not divide the experience into many, it will not be possible to understand what is there. That is why the memory, in form of knowledge, separates out patterns. That is necessary for survival. If you don't know that this one object is my food and I am the food of that other object, survival will become difficult. So, these boundaries are drawn in the mind as illusions. Again, those who study physics and electricity, magnetism, and so on, they will see that all objects, physical objectswe're talking about physical objects nowthey are patterns of fields. You can call them energy fields or force fields, charge fields, does not matter. They are fields. There is nothing separate, a particle there; they are waves. And the interesting thing about the waves is that they do not stop distinctly, suddenly. They continue, and they fade into nothingness. So, you can draw a boundary somewhere where the field of one object fades into tiny amount, but it will never become zero. It goes beyond the detection mechanism which is called sense. You cannot see it now. If you use an instrument, there is a limit of the instrument. It stops detecting it after some time, but it never goes down to zero. So, two objects, they are connected actually, physically by these fields. The electrons in one object are still sensing the electrons in the other object. They're sensing each other. The gravity of one is still pulling other. If you take the example of empty space where there is nothing for the eyes to see, it is full of fields of all kinds, scientist will tell you. So, you cannot isolate any particle, which is not a particle, any wave, any portion of matter from its environment in any way. You can attenuate it, you can make the influence of one field on the other smaller, that's all we can do; cannot make it zero. So, another very good definition of a separation or space is: it is the boundary where the instruments or senses, sensors stop detecting the first object, that's all. So, the red ball and the blue ball, they are connected by fields because they are fields, they are waves, and there is no specific point between them where they are separated. But wherever the instrument says, "I cannot find the field of the red one," we assume that it has ended, now there is nothing, cannot detect anything. Now we start detecting the field of the blue object, blue ball. So, it is a class of separation by ignorance, because the senses or the instruments cannot detect what is between. There is always something; they're not separated. So, you can see Earth and Moon are separated. There's nothing between them. Still, one is pulling the other. Still, one cannot escape the field of the other. The Earth and Sun are separated. There's nothing between them. Still, the light of the Sun comes here. It is connected by the light, which is nothing but a fieldfield of the Sun extending to Earth. Which field? You can name it anything you want; it is just vibrations. So, a scientist will call it electromagnetic field. It looks like light to our eyes, seven colors. It is a field; it never ends. It reaches Earth. So, are they separated? In some sense, the matter of the Earth is not connected to the matter of the Sun, but we don't have any objection to that. Our definition of separation is totally different. Nothing should connect. ## Unknowability of Separation And the problem is if we find something which is separated, its knowledge is not possible, because nothing will come from there to here to detect it. No sound, obviously, because there is no air between you and that object. No light, because the light is simply field. No gravity, because gravity is field; for now you can assume. Not even space; you cannot travel to that, because space is another medium of travel. So, space connects objects. But ideally separated object, experience, will be undetectable. You can't see it, you can't hear it, you cannot measure it by any instrument. It will not produce any gravitational effect, nothing at all. And so, that object will be completely imaginary. You will never find it. You will never be able to prove it, which means it does not exist actually. It is cooked up in our mind. The ideal separation is not possible, impossible. It requires some kind of non-existence between the two separated objects, separated experiences. Non-existence is impossible; only existence is possible. So, yes, formation of virtual boundaries is seen. They are not real. They are usefuluseful for survival, useful for keeping the structures for a longer time. Because if there is no virtual separation, these structures will collide, one will influence the other so much that it will become one structure. So, that is a loss of information, some loss of structure. It is not so useful now. Everything is a blob of cloud of something, and we don't want that. It's very boring universe. So, virtual boundaries are formed in memory. Only those boundaries provide any meaningful experience. If it is one continuous thing, it is actually not knowable, unknowable. We must have some kind of change which appears as a boundary, and then the mind says, "Okay, one thing stopped here, the other thing starts here." Something is detected, and now the play of life can start. Now something meaningful can happen. So, the non-physical, non-virtual memory does some kind of divisions. Some divisions appear there and they are virtual, but they are useful. For example, the division between different layers of the memory. If it is all non-physical, non-mental superimposition of almost non-existing vibrating patterns, what is there? Where is the layer? And yes, there is no layer. There are no layers. It is concept. We imagine like that. The separation between layers is imaginary. Still, you will find some kind of conceptual separation. ## Layers of Separation For example, we have three layers roughly, very roughly in our experience. One is the layer of the mind; second is layer of the body; third is layer of the world, objects. You will see that there is no real separation between these three, but still it is useful to separate these three to make our life easy and not so confusing. Similarly, one person is separate from the other. The actions of one person do affect the action of other, but not directly. And that causes survival, evolution, and so on, something useful. So, layers are separated functionally, not really. There is no wall between the layers, and they all are like fingers in a glove thing. So, all people are actually fingers, puppets that are getting operated from the universal memory. They're projecting out of the universal memory. They look separate; they are not, they're connected. Do not imagine some thread connecting one person to another, some energy going from the brain of one person to other person. No, that is childish. Interconnectedness means they come from the same substance. They project out of the same substrate, which is memory. So, you can picture it in any way you want, but remember, everything is connected. Actions of one person cannot affect directly the actions of another, but still there is a connection. These two people are actually one, one structure, parts of one structure. So, whatever they do, they affect the structure and the structure affects them. Now it is so easy to understand everything. You don't need telepathy or some magic to understand interconnectedness. You just need common sense. ## Consequences of Interconnectedness What happens when everything is connected, everything is one? What is the consequence of this law? We can only discuss it from a human perspective. So, the Law of Duality or Polarity says that there will be positive, negative, and all kinds of consequences. The positive side of interconnectedness is that nothing stops us from knowing the contents of any memory location, any memory area or the field. Since it is the whole manifested existence all in one, one in all, it becomes available to knowledge. Since there is no boundary, no separation, no wall, it implies that anything can be experienced. There is no space, no time, that implies you can be anywhere, anytime. The vibration pattern in one part of the memory cannot be separated from patterns in other parts of the memory, which means one pattern can influence other with no limitation of space or distance or time. It is simply a matter of power or energy in that pattern. Still, it does not matter. Interconnectedness means even the weaker pattern can influence the stronger pattern. The creator becomes the creation. It is through this process of resonance. If you are separated from everything, there is no hope of creating anything or manifesting anything, as we saw in the Law of Perception-Creation. Creation and perception are one, and perception is possible only when there is a connection. So, interconnectedness, if you study deeply, will reveal that there are enormous powers available to everyone with a desire to cultivate these powers. If you let go of the illusion of separatedness, many powers will start manifesting. This is interesting for somebody in occult or tantra. If you assume that everything is separate, I am separate, distances are real, time is the truth, then probably there is no hope of obtaining any powers. In occult, belief or assurance is a important factor. Disbelief is like a virtual wall, virtual boundary that will cut you off. If you're very sure that there are no boundaries, it will increase your powers. And the belief here does not mean blind belief, blind faith. No, blind belief, blind faith is just like the name says: it will make you blind. You won't be able to see. You won't see the walls, but you won't see the interconnectedness. So, it must be validated through your direct experience. It must be your knowledge. Then there is no struggle in believing. So, the Law of Interconnectedness gives us many gifts, but there is a negative side of it. If anything can influence anything, it is not only possible to create, it becomes possible to destroy. Remember, destruction is simply change of vibrating patterns. They change into something else. It is simply now a matter of strength: what is more powerful? Interconnectedness leaves everything open for any kind of manipulation. Yes, everything is connected. You can visit any memory location, know anything, see anything you want, but it also means there is no privacy. Whatever you do, whatever you think, whatever you feel is being broadcasted into the memory universally, openly for everybody. There's nothing wrong here, but from a human perspective, this is somewhat shocking. So, you are always being live telecasted over the universal memory network, UMN. Everybody knows about everything. Only something which is very ignorant about the workings of the memory and interconnectedness will not be able to know. Humans are a very good example of this, unfortunately. We think that whatever we do or whatever I think or feel, it is private, nobody will know it. But the situation is exactly opposite: nothing is private here, and everything is affecting everything else. So, you don't like somebody, but you never say it because of politeness. You think it will have no effect, but in reality, everything has a consequence: karmic consequence. Your hate, your dislike, and whatever negative thoughts that are going on, feelings, emotions that are happening, they are very strongly broadcasted to everything around you, everything to which you are connected, which is whole of the universe, whole of the existence. And obviously, it will affect the person or something which about which you are thinking. And since it is all interconnected, it rebounds. Just like if you throw a ball and hit a wall, the ball rebounds. The energy of the ball reflects back. The wall simply does not take it; it gives it back. Same way, whatever you send comes back. So, now you can see that interconnectedness and the Law of Action, karmic law, is very much related. The Law of Action, things return to you with an interest, is because of interconnectedness. You cannot do anything in isolation here. I don't know whether that is positive, negative, but this is how it is. The positive side is if you send something good, uplifting, happy, it will be broadcasted everywhere and it will be returned to you. So, you get that which you are. And the reverse is also true. Because of interconnectedness and continuous influence of other patterns on this pattern, which is human beingobviously, we are interested in this only, more interested in humansbecause of this continuous give and take of energy, if you are in a wrong kind of field, wrong kind of memory area, you will become like that. If you're surrounded by ugliness, dirt, bad people, you cannot remain something else; you will become like that. This is general knowledge, I need not provide any kind of evidence here. Everybody knows. Depends on who is more powerful. If you are more powerful, you will affect your surroundings and other people. If you are less, they will affect you, drown you completely in their own vibration or their own energy. The patterns like to dominate each other through resonance. So, the micro is seen in macro: as below, so above. The positive has a hidden negative many times. It is very positive thing that you can know anything in the universal memory, akashic memory, but as soon as you come in contact with it, that memory gets connected. It was already connected, there were virtual boundaries, boundaries of ignorance, but now that is gone. Now that whatever you are connected to gets some power over you. The power is to a power to influence. And whatever you witness, you'll carry it with you. So, anyway, all of the experience that we know of is made possible by interconnectedness. But Law of Balance says too much of interconnectedness is not good for survival. Fortunately, we already have a mechanism to form virtual boundaries in the memory, and we use it to create boundaries whenever needed, whenever we don't want something to influence us. Remember, there is no perfect boundary. Its power can be reduced, that's all, it's possible. And that is called protection or shielding. Many people are familiar with these things who are in occult. Each and every practice starts with protection ritual, shielding. Without it, you should not do anything. Whenever you open something, open the doors of a new world, new dimension, always remember to close it back. Whenever you take something, always remember to give it back. It will not make it disconnected from you, but this simple gesture will reduce it its power over you. Some people will say, "What if it is a positive influence, like from a from the guru field or any good field?" There is a problem there. It is a good field from your perspective, but you are a bad field for them. I'm not saying you are, but probably they will think before connecting. Probably they will connect and then they will shield it, and they will return it back to you. Here comes the concept of worthiness: am I worthy of that kind of contact? Have you raised your own vibration to that positivity that these positive fields of energy will accept you? ## Rising Above Interconnectedness So, yes, why not? You're most welcome to connect to anything positive. Purify yourself before you do that. Purification has another advantage: that it will shield you from the negative, although it is never guaranteed. So, you got an idea, I cannot tell you more than this. There are consequences of interconnectedness, there are consequences of knowing the interconnectedness, this law. Remember, this information is now impressed in your memory. Whatever I said is going to create an influence on you. If you're not well protected, well shielded, you have already accepted my words. But nothing to worry. That which is positive does not want to be affected by everything, but they don't want to affect anything without permission. Here comes the concept of permission. You can still say no and stop listening. The curtains will be drawn, everything will be erased. It is as good as nothing has happened. If you remember, in the episode on Law of Deniability, I said that if you can erase all these things, whatever you do, there are less consequences. It is not so bad. You can do anything provided you erase all the traces of it. If you do not permit, nothing can affect you, or the effect will be very less. So, you cannot stop the influencesnegative, positive, whatever. No amount of shielding stops it. It is a law, it is interconnectedness, it is one. There is no point in doing that. There are natural boundaries, virtual boundaries which ensure survival, but the law still operates, does not matter. Still, it is possible to rise above interconnectedness: create boundaries where you need it, and break them when you want it. How to do that? It's a big topic, but you know that the law is stronger wins. If you have a very strong influence, other things will affect you, but that effect will be very less. So, that is one way to rise above the interconnectedness: become strong, become powerful. How do we create boundaries? Just like you create anything else, it's very easy. Always remember that you can protect yourself from something which is less powerful than you, but you cannot protect yourself from something which is more powerful. So, here comes the concept of surrender, worship, pleasing something which is higher and more powerful than you. It is all self-transformation. You cannot transform anything around you, it does not matter whether it is positive, negative, whatever. If you want to become like something else, more powerful, the only way is resonance. The resonance ensures that you are more influenced by something which is just like you. It is true that the effect is transmitted everywhere in the universe, universal memory, but it is received more in a place which is similar. This is also called resonance. The energy gets transferred to a place most mostly which is resonating with the source. So, let us take a positive example. You want to be more loving, more caring, more happy. So, you decide to connect to something which is powerful, strong, and very loving, very happy, blissful. That connection will not happen unless you embody those qualities in you, even though they are not very strong, assuming, still it should have that kind of quality. You cannot wish for it, simply. You start working towards it, and the resonance takes care of energy transfer. You cannot break the connection once it happens, but it is okay if you are getting influenced by something you want. This is how we rise above interconnectedness: by choice, not by building a big wall around you. It has to be dynamic. Resonate with that which you want, it will happen automatically thanks to the Law of Interconnectedness. So, a master learns to resonate correctly. I think that much pointing is enough for any intelligent person. What if you don't want to connect to something? You build a boundary of permission: do not permit. And again, because nobody is going to permit you also, you need to ask for permission. Do not encroach into the boundaries and personal space of anybody without permission. That will have consequences. Do not do it simply because it is possible. "I can go there, I can see this, I can know that." But it is a good idea to ask for permission even if nobody owns it. And yes, shield yourself so that without your permission, nothing unusual enters your space, your sacred space. "How do I do that? How is it impossible?" Everything is possible in the illusion. You need knowledge, and you need to practice. This whatever I'm telling is simply word knowledge. You are listening to the words, there is no experience behind it, and many people will not understand. Probably many will laugh at these things because it is unusual. You cannot connect to it directly; it needs direct experience. So, a guide, connect to a guide, connect to a master who is compassionate, ask for permission, learn, start learning. Learning is by doing. Rising above will not happen simply by listening to something. You get only information, nothing else. If you are afraid that, "I'm unprotected, my vibration is very low, things are influencing me, please somebody protect me from interconnectedness," then there is a bad news here that there is no hope. Nothing can be done. Nobody will do anything to protect you. Nobody wants to mess with these matters. Breaking the lawnot allowed. So, the only protection you have is rising up. That is the only real protection. Rise up so high that you become invisible to that which you don't want. By this, you won't break the Law of Interconnectedness, you will remain connected to everything. The ones who don't know the law and are incapable of rising up will not reach you. That's all can be done, but that is enough, sufficient. Why do we want to do anything else? You will be helped in rising above interconnectedness by nothing but interconnectedness. Connect to something which you want. I'm knowingly not using the words positive, negative, because who knows what you want. Resonate like that, you will be lifted up, because there is mutual benefit in that. Two of the same kind produce twice as much power, probably more, because it is resonance. So, we cannot break it, but we can resonate correctly and rise above the bad effects of interconnectedness, so-called bad effects. You cannot isolate yourself, or you cannot isolate anything at all. By yourself, I mean this pile of memory, that's all. Everybody will have their own definition of myself, so I'm not going to discuss that too much. What is it? What are you protecting? Where are you resonating? What influence? Well, you already know. Know yourself, you will know everything. So, you cannot isolate yourself, that is impossible. But you can vibrate correctly so that you don't need isolation. That is intelligence. Evolution cannot happen in isolation, so interconnectedness ensures that everything evolves correctly. We will discuss other laws of memory in coming episodes.
