Layered model

Existence is a sea of possibilities. The possibilities appear in the form of vibrations, vibration forms simple patterns of vibration like standing waves, the patterns have a tendency to self organize, the evolutionary forces of natural selection and adaptability, they push these patterns into more complex structures. There are processes that form out of necessity, these processes, they organize the patterns into complex structure. The structures tend to optimize the most optimal way to arrange something is hierarchy so by necessity they get organized in layered fashion. These layers are functional in nature most of the time and also structural; the functions follow the form; they are formed exactly so that they can function in a specific way. The layers are not standalone most of the time they form connections with other layers through the transformative and signaling processes; it forms an interconnected structure. The layers have sub-processes, each layer evolves its own set of senses to organize incoming information; this is required because distinction must be made between the influences that are arriving at layer whether they are beneficial for the layer or destructive.

The most important thing about the layer is that they have their own memory space. The whole layer is a memory; the processes happen in memory; the memory in motion is a process. The structures in the memory are just specialized patterns; their form determines what they do. There are many many sub-processes that are formed in each layer. The layers are more or less independent but the sub-processes or sub-layer they are heavily dependent on each other.

  • The layers keep changing, some disappear/reappear .
  • The layers; they form different data and get connected through memory bridges.
  • All the entities are in contact with each other; there is no separation between one structure or entity and another entity.
  • The complex layered structure seems to have intelligence and the whole of the hierarchy seems to have goal directed behaviors. Mostly the intelligence is of survival type.
  • The overall behavior is called-Survival
  • Replication, defense and growth-Survival
  • Layered structures are rare, still uncountable
  • UM has Attractors, ghosts of past structures: There is an attractor of some kind ones a structure is formed the patterns they fall into the same structures, patterns got arranged into the same structures because it was successful.

Summary of Layers

Structures are self organized patterns, patterns of change. The layered model is a functional model each layer represents a function. Each layer contains memory; a memory that is local to that layer. Each layer is connected to another layer. Every layer has processes but can be seen as one major process; it has sub-processes/layers, each layer has transformative processes which means the senses and signaling processes which means the communicating. The communication is not happening in time there is no time there and the structure is not extended in space, there is no space there. The structure is non-physical, the structure is not even mental experience of any kind, it is non-mental. The local memory is not local, it is the part of the universal memory, the boundaries are only functional and apparent.

General Architecture

We need to rely on our own experience which is somewhat limited right now. We can find some commonalities, something that can be seen everywhere and we can ignore the outlier cases. The given architecture can be verified by ordinary experience. The layers are made up of pure change, information, vibrations and are totally illusory; there is no truth in them; they are appearances.

Potential

There are hardly any structures here but there is an infinite potential to be something, we can't even see the change here there is only a potential for the change. It is a potential nothing in the emptiness. The potential manifests as vibrations then they start forming patterns. There is hardly any communication or senses there.

Potential Energy-> Vibrations-> Patterns

Mineral

Arrangement of patterns-> Inert matter(simple matter)-> Active matter (primitive structures in motion, they are moving around as a whole)-> Organic matter(have potential to form complex structure, has tendency to copy, it gives rise to DNA like structure).

Vegetative

Cellular structure -> Organ structures -> Organ system

Cellular structure (replicate and die) the cellular structure forms the multicellular structures and the groups of specialized cells migrate towards each other and they form organs and we get organ structures. Different organ structures forms a organ system (eg. digestive system).

Reptilian

We see specialized organs that can sense the environment around them.

Peripheral nervous system connects together to form a central nervous system that commands the peripheral nervous system. When it is integrated with the motion we get a control system and we get the evolved sensory motor system. Here we see the goal directed behavior very very clearly for the first time.

Mammalian

  • Emotion Motivation programs; they are the result of a very highly evolved control system, central nervous system and sensory motor system. They are motivational because they produces pleasure and pain kind of experiences.
  • Social and tribal programs
  • Identity creator; because of the group nature there is a need to identify each other and the individual identifies itself as separate from the group. This is our famous ego; the I sense is born here.
  • Survival Intelligence

Human

  • Social intelligence and skills
  • Emotion sensory system; some humans develop a control over the emotion system; this distinguishes humans from animals
  • Creative intelligence and skills; these are all for survival
  • Artistic intelligence; going beyond utility is artistic intelligence

Sapient

  • Engineering intelligence: human intelligence combined to form engineering intelligence; we develop complex tools/machines/equipment. We can use equipment without knowing how it actually works.
  • Scientific intelligence: here we find out the principles behind how things work.
  • Mathematical intelligence: when scientific intelligence arrives we begin seeing the patterns that create everything, we begin perceiving the logical relation between these layers and how everything works.
  • Abstraction, Logic and Reason: these are derived out of our direct experience.
  • Attention and reflection: Sapient layer develops attention and reflection which are its own senses in a way it can sense what is going on and it can stop or start the activity in this higher layer. It governs the bottom layers.

Awakened

Very interestingly the attention and reflection can be drawn to what I am? what the human is and what is perceiving it, the humans and layers below it and even various kinds of intelligence and mental activities; this itself can be known for the first time.

  • Intermittent awareness: It gives a glimpse of what I am and what these layers are doing. Here curiosity awakens; desire to know what I am appears. It comes and goes; The awareness of myself is lost in the struggle for survival.
  • Steady self awareness: given that there is no survival pressure, not so much, most of the day is free for reflective activities.
  • Non-physical body
  • Causal body: Causal body is the storehouse of whatever the organism has accumulated. It is the storehouse of the layers below it, of the experiences of layers below it. That which is stored in the causal body is called tendencies and the tendencies are not destroyed when lower layers are destroyed. Here for the first time we see a structure that is independent of lower layers.

Connection between the causal body and other layers is via a memory bridge.

Memory Bridge.png

The Causal body has everything but it is not expressed the expression happens at the lower layers. The causal body is the cause of the behavior pattern in lower layers that is why it is called causal body.

It has all the skills, all the intelligence, all the awareness but unexpressed, only in a potential form given the right condition it expresses them again. There is a stickiness in the universal memory: the stickiness is the causal body. It is also called the seed body.

Causal body can be experienced because it keeps sending impulses into the system below it, they are seen as desires; they are the motivating force for the lower layers to do something or to conform to whatever the causal body is telling them.

Liberated

  • Non-individualized memory; differences between various casual bodies disappear; now it is no more about the individual but the structures/tendencies are still there but not seen as my tendencies; it is seen as a part of universal memory.
  • Group Memory: group memory has the potential to do anything, it starts forming its own world.
  • Greater memory: right here, right now we are inside a greater memory
  • Greater neighbourhood

Dissolved

  • Greater neighborhood combines to form the layer of universal memory.
  • Universal memory is not really a layer, it is a container for every other layer.
  • Manifested existence: even above the universal memory is manifested existence. It is beyond human intellect.

Continuity of Layers

There are no sharp boundaries in these layered structures; they dissolve into each other smoothly and they dissolve into the universal memory very smoothly.

The lower layers mostly overlap. It is possible that since these bodies are sharing the same environment the senses are going to perceive the same thing and there will be a consensus among these structures; this gives rise to objectivity where there is agreement regarding what is being perceived.

If the overlap goes above the limited structure of the body so due to natural selection the layers start separating. At some layer the separation will be maximum; and everything is mixed together at higher layers.

It all merges into universal memory at the highest point.

Bodies and Worlds

Bodies and Worlds.png

Layers that produce the sense can perceive/see the layer, however senses produce a false image of the layer. So when the layers are perceived through one or the other senses in the layer we can give it a name we call it body. There is another name for the structure which is called projected body; body is a projection of the layer actually.

There is a body corresponding to every layer as there are senses corresponding to every layer. When seen from the perspective of the universal memory the body and the layer are almost the same. But when seen from the perspective of senses the layers are seen as the body.

Every layer is projected as a body using corresponding senses only.

What are the senses really perceiving? Here comes the structures in the universal memory. The layer corresponding to the Area 1 will be the layer 1 and the body corresponding to the Area 1 will be the body 1 and body 1 is going to host the suitable senses that are perfectly adapted to Area 1. So body 1 will perceive Area 1 only and nothing else.

You can divide the universal memory into n areas corresponding to n layers/bodies and you will find a set of n senses which are perceiving those areas and only those areas to which they are adapted to.

But this is not true because individualization happens here due to survival needs. The maximum separation happens at the "identity creator" sub-layer or you can call it an entity.

In a typical area there will be many such separate structures in the universal memory and I am going to call them worlds.

This entity extends to the layer N; so why can't I perceive all the layers?

Actually you are perceiving all the layers; there is something called attention which is focused on only one layer because it is not possible to experience all of them simultaneously. Attention is like a pinhole in the camera. Attention is like a meta-sense because it reduces the amount of information.

It is possible to shift the attention to any layer; the experience can be shifted from one area to another area.

It does not matter what part of universal memory you are in, there will be a layer/body, there will be senses and there will be world; this is the law.

At the topmost layer there is no need for a body because almost everything is merged there.

Interlayer Communication

Interlayer Communication.png

There layers do not have well defined boundaries; you can open the doors of layers to the external influences very easily; if you know that this layer is not going to be destroyed by that you can do it. Now, since the other entities are in the same memory space (UM) it is possible to influence the layers in another entity directly.

By shifting the attention we can communicate with layer x. So it is possible to see bodies corresponding all the layers and it is possible to directly communicate with them.

The causal body is storehouse of memory; it is like a door way into the universal memory itself; so if you communicate with the casual body of someone else you activate it and you can all the memories.

Higher Layers

Higher layers are more permanent than lower layers.

I have grouped the sub-layers- causal body, individualized memory and non-individualized memory together because they appear to be semi-permanent. It seems that this memory space it grows it recruits more patterns from the vibration space into itself by copying or by forming more structures through the self organizing process.

There are an uncountable number of these memory spaces but it can not be perceived as per as humans are considered. It is inferred logically because of the infinite potential; there is possibility that many of such structure will be there which I name non-individualized memory which then condenses into individualized memory and then forms a pool of memories called causal body. The causal body causes the formation and functioning of the lower layers till certain point, till the narrowest part of the structure then it interfaces with the lower layers through a memory bridge.

So these causal structures they grow as they accumulate more experiences; the memory space grows and because there are many, it forms a group.

Clustering

Because of the mutual influences the groups has similar characteristics like they will be able to produce lower layer, they will be able to communicate, they will be able to form memory bridges and so on although variety is huge.

We get clusters of group memories because of similar memory spaces tend to cluster together. Ex. tress of one species tend to cluster together at a particular area.

The clusters of group memories have large variety of structures some of them are entirely made up of the lower layers (very tightly bound areas of the memory).

As we know, area is just a layer in the universal memory; they form stable structures and we call them rule bound areas because they are bound very tightly by the rules (ex. our physical universe, planets, stars, hills, trees , rivers, oceans they are patterns in the memory in this rule bound area).

When we combine together the rule bound areas, non-rule bound areas and the clusters of non-individualized or causal bodies we can call it greater memories. It is really great because it contains uncountable numbers of universe, causal bodies and different kinds of structures.

Greater memory space may copy itself to form a cluster of greater memories and we get something called a greater neighborhood.

Manifested Existence

When we combine all these greater neighborhoods together we get the universal memory. This whole of our physical universe amounts to nothing in the universal memory; there are billions of billions of casual bodies and the individualized memory is just a spec of dust. From the point of view of UM the individual does not even exist, it is so tiny that is what an average person calls as me but I am not tiny that is a structure in the UM.

UM is also finite and UM is not in our perception space; most of the UM lies in the vibrational space; most of it is empty and waiting for structures to form; but there are vibrations and it is being manifested. So if we look at the manifested existence it looks like a universal memory

Non-manifest

Surrounding the UM will be un-manifested potential space where there is no sharp boundary the universal memory is expanding into this un-manifested space because instantly, billions and billions of greater memories spaces are created in the un-manifested areas.

When we combine the manifested and un-manifested together we see that it is happening on something which is very familiar this is the experiencer. All of these mind boggling experience is happening in the space of experiencer where there is potential for everything to be; since everything is happening in the space of experiencer there is a possibility to be conscious of it.

Even though our experiences are small and limited they are still big and infinite.
