Illusory (Skt. आभासिक Abhasik) means having the nature of an illusion - appearing real but not being what it seems.

On the path of knowledge, all experience is illusory because:

• It is constantly changing and therefore false

• It appears to be independent but is dependent on existence

• Objects appear to be separate from the experiencer but are not

• The world appears solid and real but is made of vibrations

Illusory does not mean non-existent - it means things are not as they appear.
