Time of
experience refers to the temporal dimension of all appearances in
awareness. On the
path of knowledge, time is understood as a property of
experience itself, not of the
experiencer.
Experience and Time
- Every experience has a duration — it arises, persists for some period, and dissolves. This temporal flow is intrinsic to the nature of experience.
- The experience of time varies with the state of consciousness — in deep sleep, dream, and waking states, time flows differently.
- Past and future are memories and projections — only the present moment is directly experienced.
- The experiencer is the constant witness of time's flow — it does not itself move through time.
