Essence Of Existence

The Essence of Existence is the fundamental, uncaused reality that underlies all manifested and unmanifested phenomena. On the path of knowledge, this essence is realized as experiencer the single conscious presence that simply is.

Uncaused is-ness

  • Substratum of All: The essence of existence is not an object or a collection of things. It is the very "is-ness" or presence of all that is.
  • No Cause Outside Itself: Because Existence contains everything, nothing can stand outside of it to act as its cause. It is uncaused, timeless, infinite, and self-sustained.
  • Absolute Emptiness: At its most fundamental level, the essence of Existence is pure emptiness a non-local, zero-dimensional potential that contains all possible structures, yet remains completely empty of substance, space, and time.

Direct Realisation

  • Oneness of Essence: There are no divisions within the essence of Existence. The separate forms we perceive the world, other people, and our own bodies are merely temporary, dependent appearances (Maya).
  • Self-Realisation: To directly know this essence is self realisation. The seeker discovers that the essence of their own self, the experiencer, is identical to the essence of the entire Existence.
