Ground (Skt. आधार, Adhara) is that which underlies and supports all experience.

On the path of knowledge, the ground is existence itself - that in which all experiences arise, persist, and dissolve. It is the unchanging substratum of all change.

The ground is not an object among objects, but the very nature of all that appears.
