Also known as hidden impurities.

On the path of knowledge, resistances include:

• Beliefs that contradict the teaching

• Emotional reactions to uncomfortable truths

• Attachment to one's worldview

• Fear of the unknown

Resistances must be recognized and examined through contemplation and critical thinking.
