Positive Knowledge

Positive knowledge (Skt: उपलब्धि, Uplabdhi) has the characteristics of being neatly organised in memory. It is based on direct experience and logic. It is mostly derived out of presence of experience. So it is labelled as positive. The logical relations formed in the memory are based on that which is manifested (Skt: सद्रूप, Sadroop).

Positive knowledge is a state of knowledge.

"There is a chair here". "My body is fit and healthy", "I am sad today", "I imagined a new car", "My father expired last week" - all these statements point to some positive experience. These things were experienced and are there in the memory.

Note that positive does not mean good here. It simply points to presence rather than absence.
