The place of experience is the location or field in which experiences appear. On the path of knowledge, all experiences occur within the universal memory, and ultimately within the one existence.

Where Experience Occurs

• Gross experiences (physical sensations, perceptions) appear in the gross body and its environment — the physical world.

• Subtle experiences (thoughts, emotions, dreams) appear in the subtle body — the mental space.

• Causal experiences (deep tendencies, seeds of karma) appear in the causal body.

• All of these are layers within the universal memory, which itself appears within the existence as the experiencer.

The Ultimate Place

• There is no 'place' outside awareness — all places are experiences within awareness.

• The experiencer is not located anywhere — it is the space in which all locations appear.

• When the seeker asks 'where am I?', the answer is: 'You are that in which the question 'where?' arises.'
