The world is the totality of objects, beings, and phenomena that appear in experience.

On the path of knowledge, the world is understood as:

• An appearance or illusion - not independent of the experiencer

• A state of mind - the waking state

• Constantly changing and therefore false

• Made of vibrations and patterns in memory

• Part of the illusion - it is name and form superimposed on existence

The world is not what it appears to be. It is a limited perception of the infinite existence, filtered through the senses and organized by the mind.
