Yoga (Skt. योग) means "union" and refers to various spiritual practices aimed at uniting the individual self with the ultimate reality.

On the path of knowledge, Yoga is:

• A different approach than the path of knowledge

• Based on practices and techniques

• Complementary but not necessary

• Not the same as self realisation

The path of knowledge is sometimes called Jnana Yoga (Yoga of Knowledge).
