A phenomenon (plural: phenomena) is an observable experience or occurrence.

On the path of knowledge, phenomena are:

• The contents of experience

• Appearances in consciousness

• Subject to change and therefore false

• The domain of science and empirical study

All phenomena are appearances of existence in memory. They are not ultimately real but arise and pass away.
