हिंदी सारांश अर्चना द्वारा शलोक 24:( भाव) शंकराचार्य जी कहते हैं ..जैसे * सूरज का स्वभाव चमकना है। * जल का स्वभाव शीतलता है । * अग्नि का स्वभाव गर्माहट है । ठीक उसी तरह आत्मा का स्वरूप *अनंत *जागृत *सर्वव्यापी *प्रांजल *आनंदमय है। अतः आत्मा को शुद्धिकरण की आवश्यकता नहीं है। शुद्धीकरण की आवश्यकता केवल शरीर और मन है। परंतु आत्मा पर शरीर और मन आरोपित होने के कारण यह प्रतीत होता है कि जैसे आत्मा को शुद्ध करण की आवश्यकता है। अक्सर लोग पूछते हैं कि गंगा में नहाने से क्या पाप धुल जाते हैं ? यह सब विश्वास पर निर्भर है ।अगर विश्वास है कि धुल जाते हैं तो जरूर धुल जाते होंगे। क्योंकि आत्मा तो शुद्ध ही है । मैं आत्मा हूं ...यह भाव शरीर से स्वयं को पृथक मानने पर ही आएगा। शरीर और मन तो हमेशा ही अशुद्ध हैं । दो बातें समझना आवश्यक है: 1. हम अपनी जीविका के लिए दूसरों पर निर्भर हैं और यही हमारा स्वभाव बन जाता है। 2.दूसरों की सहमति हमारे स्वभाव को नियंत्रित करती है परंतु यदि हमें अध्यात्मिक मार्ग पर आगे बढ़ना है तो इस व्यवहार की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। हम अक्सर देखते हैं कि विशाल हाथी केवल एक जंजीर के कारण नियंत्रण में रहता है ।परंतु यह संभव नहीं है क्योंकि अगर वह चाहे तो एक झटके में जंजीर तोड़ कर सकता है ।परंतु हाथी जब छोटा होता है तभी से उसे मजबूत जंजीरों में बांधा जाता है ताकि वो तोड़ ना पाए।जब वह बहुत कोशिश करता है और वह उसे तोड़ नहीं पाता। इसलिए धीरे-धीरे उसका यह स्वभाव बन जाता है कि वह जंजीर को तोड़ ही नहीं सकता और वह कोशिश करना भी बंद कर देता है। इस तरह स्वभाव का संबंध सीधा-सीधा शरीर और मन से है। इस तरह हमारा स्वभाव कंडीशनल/ नियमबद्ध है। यह शर्तों पर निर्भर है यह लेनदेन का सौदा है। परंतु यह सब स्वभाव मन और शरीर का है। जो आत्मा ने अपने ऊपर आरोपित कर लिया है। सरल शब्दों में बोले तो अगर हमारा कोई जीवनसाथी है.... तो वह हम स्वयं हैं, हम स्वयं के संगी साथी हैं। आगे यह भी समझना हर व्यक्ति के लिए बहुत आवश्यक है कि हमें अपने गुरुजनों का हमेशा आभारी होना चाहिए ‌।यह बात आध्यात्मिक मार्ग पर चलने वालों के लिए अत्यधिक आवश्यक हो जाती है ।गुरु के प्रति कृतज्ञ और विनम्र भाव में डूबे रहने से ही उस साधक की प्रगति संभव है। इस तरह गुरु के गुण भी शिष्य में झलकने लग जाते हैं। कृतज्ञता के बिना ज्ञान का कोई मूल्य नहीं है और यदि ज्ञान पर अहंकार हो जाए ,तब तो पतन निश्चित है ।जैसे: रावण जैसा ज्ञानी शायद ही कोई था या होगा ।परंतु उसका अहंकार और गलती ना मानना ही उसके पतन का कारण बने। गुरु हमारे मोक्ष का द्वार है । परंतु गुरु केवल मार्गदर्शन ही कर सकता है ।हाथ पकड़कर हमें चला नहीं सकता। यह बात सत्य है और जिसे समझना बहुत आवश्यक है कि जो रिश्ता गुरु के साथ है वही एकमात्र सच्चा रिश्ता है‌। यह बिना किसी शर्त पर आधारित है। बाकी सब रिश्ते, यहां तक की मां बच्चे का रिश्ता भी ,शर्तों पर टिका है। गुरु का रिश्ता आत्मा के स्तर पर है। इसलिए ज्ञानी स्वयं को ... सब में . ‌ .. आत्मा रूप में देखता है। इसमें कोई शर्तों की संभावना नहीं है। बहुत कम लोगों को *गुरु अमृत सुनने को मिलता है *उससे भी कम लोग यह अमृत ग्रहण कर पाते हैं *उससे भी कम लोग इस अमृत को अपने जीवन में उतार पाते हैं * मुट्ठी भर लोग ही उस मार्ग पर आगे बढ़ पाते हैं। यह कहना बिल्कुल गलत होगा कि हमें आज तक गुरु नहीं मिला इसलिए हम आगे नहीं बढ़ पा रहे। सीधा सीधा मतलब यह है कि अभी तक हम में इतनी योग्यता नहीं उत्पन्न हुई है कि हम वह ज्ञान ग्रहण कर पाए। जब भी उस ज्ञान के योग्य हो जाएंगे तो निसंदेह गुरु के समक्ष खुद को पाएंगे। इसलिए अपने को योग्य बनाना ही एकमात्र साधक का लक्ष्य होना चाहिए। English summary by Bindu Verse 24 Atman's essential nature is ever-conscious, all-pervading, blissful,eternal, pure existence. The real Self is pure. Purification is required for the mind and the body. Atman is separate from the mind. Atman is so pure that it requires no purification. But the body and the mind requires purification. Due to the superimposition of qualities of the body and mind on the Atman, it appears impure. But the real Self/ Atman is always pure. Atman is separate from the mind. Due to the lack of discriminative wisdom individual identifies himself/herself with the mind and gets entangled with all kinds of relationships, hoping that it would give everlasting happiness. Worldly love is conditional. Survival needs makes one dependent on others. Anything associated with the body and the mind is conditional. Only an enlightened master's love is unconditional, has no ulterior motive. A jnani sees himself in every sentient being. The best tribute one can give his master is that - he becomes eligible to receive the teachings and increase it exponentially, by passing it on to others. Such a disciple himself becomes a Guru. The character, the personality, the knowledge and the behaviour of a disciple should reflect that of his Guru. The qualities of wisdom, kindness, humility, patience, tranquillity, and the detachment of an enlightened master should be seen in the disciple and on seeing that disciple, an observer is reminded of the master. The quality of one's life is in accordance with his/her previous karma. Auspicious karmas, and being steadfast in one's sadhana, brings one to a Guru.And it is his grace that would lead one, on to the path of liberation. A master is more than a physical form.Bereft of Guru's grace one would wander aimlessly for thousands of lifetimes and never reach the path of liberation.
