Atmabodha Verse 63

Verse 63 Shankaracharya says world is ‘vilakshana’ - untrue, finite and full of suffering. Brahman on the other hand is Truth, ever-conscious, ever-blissful, eternal, omnipresent absolute existence. One may regard untruth to be the opposite of truth. Shankaracharya says, they not of two separate jurisdictions, but the sovereignty of one and only one Brahman. The untrue world also exists in Brahman. The world is illusory, it is NOT A LIE but an illusion. It does not mean that it doesn’t exist….. it means, what one perceives it to be - it is not that. Brahman is the substratum of the untrue/ illusory world. From gross matter to molecules to atom to subatomic particles, division goes on until one reaches a void where nothing exists. When the particles cannot be subdivided any further - remains an invisible entity from which everything arises. It is like emptiness. Emptiness that has infinite potential. Every thing has emerged from this nothing/emptiness and a point comes when everything becomes nothing. When identified with mind, the individual is a jiva not Brahman. If an individual is a jiva, then there is Ishwara. Jiva is limited, Ishwara is omnipresent; Jiva(small part of Ishwara) has a tarnished anthahkaran or mind(a small part of maya), Ishwara is pristine and all-knowing sattvic maya. When mind is removed from jiva and maya is removed from Ishwara, all that which remains is immortal, ever-conscious, omnipresent absolute Brahman. श्लोक 63: शंकराचार्य जी कहते हैं कि संसार विलक्षण है: असत्य, सीमित और दुःख से भरपूर। जबकि ब्रह्म :सत्य, चैतन्य ,सदैव , आनंदमय , शाश्वत सर्वव्यापक ,पूर्ण अस्तित्व है। सत्य और असत्य को दो विपरीत माना जाता है। परंतु शंकराचार्य जी कहते हैं ....यह दो अलग-अलग अधिकार क्षेत्र से नहीं है ।बल्कि केवल एक और एक ही ब्रह्मांड की संप्रभुता है । असत्य और सत्य भी ब्रह्म में ही विद्यमान है। संसार मिथ्या नहीं... भ्रम है। इसका तात्पर्य यह नहीं है कि उसका अस्तित्व नहीं है ।इसका अर्थ है .... जो उसे जैसा समझता है वो वैसा नहीं है ।ब्रह्म ....असत्य और भ्रमपूर्ण संसार का.... आधार है। • पदार्थ = अणुओं + परमाणु > इन्हें आगे उपविभाजित किया जा सकता है •उपपरमाणिक कण= इलेक्ट्रॉन+ न्यूट्रॉन +प्रोटॉन इन्हें आगे उप विभाजित कर सकते हैं। अतः, स्थूल पदार्थ से लेकर >अणुओं तक ,परमाणु से लेकर > उपपरमाणुओं तक ....विभाजन ....तब तक चलता रहता है..... जब तक शून्यता तक नहीं पहुंच जाते । जहां आगे शेष कुछ भी नहीं है। जब कणों का आगे विभाजन नहीं किया जा सकता ....एक अदृश्य इकाई बनी रहती है । यही उत्पत्ति का केंद्र है। यह एक तरह का खालीपन है......। यह वह शून्यता है जिसमें अनंत की क्षमता है । इस तरह हर वस्तु शून्यता से... मात्र बिंदु से ....उत्पन्न हुई है । आगे ,यह सभी कण और उपपरमाणिक कण निरंतर गतिशील है। इन कणों से बना मानव शरीर -यद्यपि स्थिर प्रतीत होता है, फिर भी निरंतर गति/ परिवर्तन में है। इस तरह,मानव शरीर ,पेड़, जानवर, पहाड़ ,नदियां आदि सब स्थिर और गतिहीन लगते हैं। परंतु ,असल में लगातार बदल रहे हैं। जो बदलता है- उसे संसार कहते हैं। संसार है तो सही पर उसका कोई अस्तित्व नहीं है। यह है भी फिर भी नहीं है ।इस सांसारिक भ्रम को तब देखा जा सकता है जब वास्तव में सर्वत्र ब्रह्म हो। संसार है नहीं, पर दिखता है। ब्रह्म का अस्तित्व है पर दिखता नहीं । कोई इसे देख नहीं सकता। यह: निराकार, पारलौकिक ,जन्म रहित मृत्युहीन , असीम ब्रह्म /ईश्वर है। मन से पहचाने जाने पर व्यक्ति ....जीव है.... ब्रह्म नहीं ।यदि जीव है तो ईश्वर भी है। जीव सीमित है.... ईश्वर सर्वव्यापी है। जीव (ईश्वर का सूक्ष्म हिस्सा है) का मन (माया का छोटा हिस्सा) धुंधला है।और ईश्वर पुरातन, सर्वज्ञ और माया है। जब मन को जीव से हटा देते हैं और माया को ईश्वर से हटा देते हैं तो जो शेष बचता है.... वह अमर ,सदैव ,चैतन्य सर्वव्यापी पूर्ण ब्रह्म है।
